Perkins Publications are a further way of bringing the expertise of Perkins’ staff to many. Some books are geared for educators, and some help families. All are the result of years of experience and offer guidance in helping people live to their full potential.

One such publication is the Perkins Panda Early Literacy Program. A collaboration with Perkins staff, educational leaders and professional storyteller, Odds Bodkin, the Perkins Panda project is designed for parents who want to develop their child’s braille literacy skills. The kit includes a Gund toy panda, storybooks, activity guides, and cassettes. The program has been designed for children with visual impairments from birth to eight years and older children with multiple disabilities.
